Quickly -

Something I realised again over my six-week holiday in Taiwan.

Beloved.

I think we all tend to forget how loved we are.

Hoffentlich

Hoffentlich, travel blog from my last trip to Taiwan/HK with friends that extended into the summer holidays, but somehow I never went back.

Travel Plans

My recent employment means I am close to 80% sure I want to return to Taiwan at the start of next year.
It also means Korea is fast becoming more than a possibility.

Oh, there's so much to do!

Taiwanese youngsters and their misconception.

For some reasons, they seem to all think koalas and kangaroos live in our backyards.

The first thing the young ones I've come across ask about living in Australia is: "Are there a lot of koalas and kangaroos? Can you see them from inside your house?"

I step gingerly; trying not shattering these illusions, but denying them all the same - albeit as delicately as possible.

My sister, being my sister, replies, "Oh yeah, totally. We have a pet koala in our garden and I ride kangaroos to school."

鹽埕區

米糕

It has taken me more than ten years to finally figure out exactly where in Kaohsiung all my favourite childhood food is. I never thought to pay enough attention in my past trips. The streets were always a blur.

Conveniently, everything is located within one suburb: 鹽埕區.

Wanderlust

Seized by a sudden desire to move back to Taiwan and establish myself in Taipei.

I'm replaying recent memories from the week spent there last December and now I just can't wait to go back.

I really do hope everything works out and that I'll find myself boarding a plane to Seoul, Korea at the very beginning of next year. I have a feeling that would be an amazing experience.
