Taiwanese youngsters and their misconception.

For some reasons, they seem to all think koalas and kangaroos live in our backyards.

The first thing the young ones I've come across ask about living in Australia is: "Are there a lot of koalas and kangaroos? Can you see them from inside your house?"

I step gingerly; trying not shattering these illusions, but denying them all the same - albeit as delicately as possible.

My sister, being my sister, replies, "Oh yeah, totally. We have a pet koala in our garden and I ride kangaroos to school."
