Promises

To me, these locks and promises existed in lands far far away; never so close to home. All at once cheesy, yet inexplicably heartwarming in its symbolism.

A contrary thought came shortly after I stumbled across them, it can be started as easily here - anywhere - just as it was started elsewhere. The difference? Taking that first step.

(and to think it was started on a bridge joining two opposite shores of the Yarra river; just adds another dimension to the meaning of padlocking a promise.)

Every time it rains

This song goes on constant playback in my head.

Summer nights

"When an hour isn't just an hour - but a little bit of Eternity dropped into your hands - and who knows what to do with it?"

There's so much I love about A Streetcar Named Desire.

All textual analysis aside, the dialogue is as honey at times and opens so many doors to childhood memories.

Rediscovery

Catch ups led to day trip planning led to a trip to 1000 steps (I really need to get fit), Sassafras and the National Rhododendron Gardens.
I finally know the name of places.

Waited for ages, but it was worth it.

To satisfy a year-long craving, which ended up tasting better in my memory, but good nevertheless.

Always look up when you're there.

Only good polaroids of the day.

Found a bench under an oak tree. This kind of scene previously existed only in my imagination and foreign countries.

Can't wait to come back in Autumn.

Happy New Year!

For the first time in Australia, we spent NYE without our parents. So I dragged my siblings to Albert Park Lake for fireworks.

Albert Park Lake is close to perfect for late night picnics, playing with sparklers and stargazing.
