Rekindled

Washing old clothes
Fitting like before
A long while back, someone asked for a six word poem on Tumblr describing a friend they had not been in touch with, but then had reconnected with and everything felt so right, as though their friendship had never taken a hiatus.

The above poem was the result.

For some reason, it stuck with me. First, I adored the simplicity of the six-word poem. Secondly, of the image it creates. But lastly, perhaps, because I also felt the same connection, or hope for some of my friendships, and feel the same way whenever there is a long break between catch-ups with old time friends.

Last Saturday, I came across this exact situation.

With a friend I thought I had disconnected with. Whom I thought we would probably never go back to where we were, but alas, call the situation a blessing in disguise. Here we are, ten years later.
