Realised I forgot to upload important documents for next year's grad applications and couldn't get my camera to autofocus.
Received emails from correspondents with solutions to these problems today, thus ending my brief spell of panic.
It did mean, however, that I took photos instead with the new lens (Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II) my friends had generously purchased for my birthday. At first I couldn't bring myself to swap the lenses, as I'm still cautious about the safety of my camera (and okay, lazy too). But everything turned out for the better!
Needless to say, I am in love with this lens.
